Interesting Day

Today was very weird. There was a earthquake in the middle of the day, and I completely freaked out!!! I had to call my poor friend Casey, who had to listen to a crazy me. :) After I calmed down, and finished working on reviewing some gavel club (BLECH) stuff for the club that we're trying to start, I went out to try to sell Citipass books. XD highlight of my day :0)

POOL PARTY!!! :D

The pool party tonight was a BLAST!!! Had fun dunking people (well only 2 people but who cares?) and splashing! Hot dogs and cheesburgers were really good and I think everyone had a TON of fun!!

Mourning

Our time with our feathered friend went by much too quickly. Our little chick has passed away today, Saturday May 7th, 2011. Deformed at hatching, the chick struggled on through life, having to be hand fed, watered, and moved around the pen. A few days ago, lil' fuzzy decided to try out it's quickly forming wings. A pinch of hope was added for having it be a flying chicken, but conditions continued getting worse. It lived longer than it would have if we would've let nature take it's course, but it is still sad to lose our little chirper.

We'll miss you little one.

Baby Horse

He is so cute! It's fun to sit and watch him; every once and a while he would "jog" around his pen while mom China Doll looked on. SO cute! :D

Baby Chick

Sweet Carolina Ranch's most recent baby chicks hatched on Easter weekend! I got to be the first EVER to hold or touch the first one out, so I'm more attached to her. Unfortunately, her legs formed wrong in the shell, so that if you let her sit on her own, her feet are above her neck in what looks like a fetal position, and her weight rests on her "elbows". We took her home with us, because otherwise the other chicks would've pecked her to death because she was weak. We are going to try to rehabilitate her, and make her life last longer. Let's hope it works!!

Myrtle Beach

While we were at Myrtle beach, we went to the Hollywood at the Beach thing. There was this shop called "it's sugar" It was AWESOME!! Everywhere you looked, there was SOMETHING candy!! Like giant two foot chocolate bunnies, a wall FILLED with jellybeans of every flavor you could think of, random pictures of people with candy for some body part (the picture above is a lady with twizzlers for hair), and last but CERTAINLY not least, GIANT REESE'S PEANUT BUTTER CUPS!!! In the picture, look at the size of them compared to my hand!! And NO!!! I WILL NOT DROP THE CHOCOLATE!!! (for those of you who know how I am with chocolate) :D

Okay, so maybe I didn't take this picture, but I LOVE penguins!! These are Emperor Penguins just for the record. I posted this in celebration of the best speech I gave yet! (It was on penguins)

Spring Home and Garden Show

This previous weekend, we went to the Spring Home and Garden Show. There were some beautiful flowers and displays in one of the buildings! The Raptor Center was there too! They had a few of their birds with them. I got some really cool pics!

After hiking, we went to Outback Steakhouse. There was a balloon twister, and he always did something special for his first table with kids at it. We were that table, I guess. Maybe it was because we arrived 10 minutes after Outback opened. It was really fun! The balloon was longer than our dog!

When hiking up or down the mountain, we had to follow "Hiker Bobby" and "Hiker Timmy". They were really funny, pulling disappearing acts or doing cartwheels and head stands.

The Telephone Towers! I'd never been this close to one of these! There were "Caution, High Voltage" and "Caution, High Radio Activity" signs everywhere!
